Th'Yarc Theatre

 


Th'YARC was officially opened on December 15th, 1979 and was the first multi-purpose regional arts centre built in the province.

The facility contains the fully equipped 352 seat "Lydia Davison Theatre," two dressing rooms, green room, costume room, set construction/storage, arts & crafts studios, a gallery-style lobby for displaying works by local artisans, and a canteen/bar.

On Monday, May 5th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. the Yarmouth Town Council and the Yarmouth Arts Regional Council will host a PUBLIC MEETING to determine the level of support that exists among the residents of Yarmouth County and the Acadian Shores for the replacement of Th' YARC (the Yarmouth Arts Regional Centre) by a newly constructed multi-disciplinary, multi-purpose complex. This meeting will take place in the main hall of the Wesleyan Church, 70 Haley Road, Yarmouth.
